        Spring and Fall 2023 GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy

        For the Spring and Fall 2023 admissions cycles, the Auburn Online MBA program will waive the GMAT/GRE test score under the following criteria:

        Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and:

        *Experience is defined as professional, full-time and post-undergraduate or military experience.

        Additional waiver requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Waiver requests can be completed online; however, it is advised to schedule an appointment with an admissions advisor in advance of submitting your request. 

        Important to note: Being granted a GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.

        Admission Requirements

        Before applying to the MBA Online program, you will be expected to take the GMAT or GRE (the GMAT being the preferred admissions test) unless you meet the waiver criteria above.  Auburn MBA programs do not require prerequisite courses. In lieu of prerequisite coursework, we offer a self-study materials and an orientation experience that will allow you to start the program with similar and fresh foundation knowledge.  Further details will arrive to accepted students in their admissions information packet.

        Application Procedure

          1. Register for and take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
          2. Begin your application by creating an account for the online Graduate School Application.
            • Important: Online MBA applicants should select Distance Program option for programs of study. 
          3. Upload all required admissions documents to your application, including
            • Current résumé
            • Unofficial transcripts for all colleges and universities attended (including high school AP credits) -- Official transcripts are required if you are accepted and choose to enroll in the program.  
            • Minimum of two letters of recommendation from professional references
            • Personal statement
            • Official GMAT or GRE score (may be waived if you meet criteria above) -- Scores should be sent directly from the testing agency.
            • 3 Supplemental Application Questions (2,000 character limit for each question)
          4. Auburn MBA Programs staff will base its admissions decision on review of your application. If offered admission, you will receive notification from Auburn MBA Programs and the Auburn Graduate School. You must both accept our offer of admission and pay a $250 confirmation fee to secure a spot in the upcoming class.

        Application Deadlines

        Fall 2022 Semester

        The application deadline for the Fall 2022 semester was April 15, 2022. All decisions for completed applications were released by June 1, 2022. 

        Spring 2023 Semester

        Applications will be accepted until the established deadlines. It is advised that you submit your completed application and all required documentation early to be considered for your preferred entry term.
